Editor Comment C Section Bleeding After 10 Weeks
While a small amount of discharge or bleeding can occur following a Cesarean section (C-section) in dogs, this should generally resolve within a few weeks. Even after three to seven days if there is a bloody vaginal discharge, changes color or develops an odor, the mother should be checked for the presence of infection or other complications. (Source:

While I'm not a veterinarian, we would suggest that if your French Bulldog is still having light bleeding 10 weeks after the procedure, this is not normal and could suggest a potential issue. Possible complications could include uterine infection, retained placental tissue, or another internal issue.
Despite the lack of other symptoms such as lethargy, loss of appetite, or foul-smelling discharge, the continued bleeding should be evaluated by a veterinarian. It's important to get a professional opinion as soon as possible, even if your dog seems to be behaving normally. Veterinarians are equipped to identify potential health issues that may not be immediately obvious to pet owners. This could include running tests or performing an ultrasound to check for abnormalities.
Until you can reach a veterinarian, make sure to monitor your dog closely for any changes in behavior, appetite, or overall health. If any new symptoms arise, make sure to report these to the veterinarian as well.
Please keep us up to date on your dog's condition.
